Successful Networking

Building lasting relationships is a crucial factor for effective and successful networking. The entire corporate world is continuously competing for the attention of those key stakeholders and most successful business people. As you advance in your career the more successful you will be at networking. Successful networking requires solid foundations of dedication and direct speech.

The key to networking is to get main stake holders to come to you and engage in conversation.

Ask yourself;

  • How can you stand out?
  • What do you have that sets you apart from the crowd?
  • What is interesting about you?
  • What is your expertise?

Additionally, identifying common ground with your contacts early on will strengthen the level of trust and speed up networking and building lasting relationships. Frequent conversation with open ended questions go the furthest, avoid questions that are answerable with either YES or NO.
