In my experience (which stretches over 30 years+) Accipio is a Centre very much at the progressive and dynamic edge of L&D delivery - a good quality team and a pro-active Centre looking to improve and develop. Supporting with feedback and comment always feels like a professional discussion between practitioners interested and committed to Learning and Development and who are concerned that their candidates receive an excellent experience.

We worked with Accipio to develop two ILM leadership and management programmes at levels 3 and 5, which has now been delivered to approximately 89 of our people leaders. Delivered by highly experienced and credible trainers, the programmes included some stretching content which tested our managers and helped them to reflect on their practice and behaviours as people leaders.  Accipio’s ILM programme came with some high quality materials and delegates benefited from a blended learning approach which included face to face delivery, individual reading and reflection, action learning groups and online support.

Great opportunity to work with other managers across the business, to understand UCAS more and also the challenges they face that are similar or different from your own. This results in having a wider group of support and go-to colleagues in a variety of situations, which I have found invaluable and which I feel has brought a lot more like-mindedness to managers at UCAS. I'm quite bad at studying effectively but in order to give the course your best, the commitment level is quite high particularly when the day job is also demanding. Commitment is quite high in terms of the course book, book club and making the assignments meaningful by working on a range of real life examples, not making them up! It's not rocket science, but sometimes it's hard to know what each question is looking for and that can take up more time. Overall, highly recommended!

Taking Level 3 programme has helped me to change the way I manage the team. Instead of taking on all the work so as not to overload them, I've learnt to delegate. This has helped me with my workload but also given team members more ownership and helped them to develop their skills.

The ILM Level 5 is a great programme – very well planned, coordinated and delivered with highly knowledgeable trainers. The learning and support materials on iLearn are superb and I’d encourage you to get the most out of the resources available as possible. I’ll be honest, the programme does take some commitment but the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out. The taught programme and assignments offer some great moments of reflection that we might not otherwise have the time or opportunity to do during the day job. Also, sign up to the book club events – they’re a great alternative approach to learning and an opportunity to build a close network of colleagues. Highly recommended.
